PROCESS SERVICE
A process server in some States is considered
as an officer of the court giving the server
some protection from lawsuits with issues
such as invasion of privacy or stalking.
Most people become very good at avoiding
being served. Avoidance by the person to
be served plus rigid rules court requires
process serving to be creative, and sometimes
dangerous. In Colorado any body over 18 years
of age can act as a server. An inexperienced
server plus a marked Sheriff’s vehicle alerts
the target and then it becomes very difficult
to make a proper serve. Should the serve
fail to conform to the courts rules you are
then faced with motion consisting of improper
service. The target takes off for a lengthy
vacation. If not done to the letter of the
law as the courts determine, the system can
become expensive for the client.

and being able to
make positive identification.

costs. You always know the limit of our billing.

process service. Some people are good at
avoiding a process service. However, if a

through traditional channels than your lawyer
needs us.
